TECHNOLOGY FOR TEACHING WRITING INAN INCLUSIVE CLASSROOM

Writing skill is critical for the success of students with disabilities in inclusive
classroom. Students with disabilities experience difficulty with writing; it is
therefore, necessary for them to work closely with competent teachers that
have access and use technology in teaching students with disabilities how to
write effectively in the classroom. This paper notes that technology facilitate
and support the development of writing skills of students with disabilities. By
incorporating these resources like word processing, multimedia software and
graphic organizers into writing instruction for the students with disabilities,
teachers can enhance their achievement in writing. This paper discussed the
technological tools that students with disabilities could access and use in
becoming effective and confident writers in an inclusive classroom.
